Participating in Shark Tank Colombia was an experience that pushed our limits and allowed us to share our vision with some of the most influential investors in the country. From the moment we stepped onto the Shark Tank set, we felt the adrenaline rush of pitching our project and convincing the Sharks that our commitment to sustainability is the future.

How would you rate your experience on Shark Tank?
My experience on Shark Tank Colombia was absolutely unique and enriching. The opportunity to present Coffee Kreis to a panel of such successful and experienced entrepreneurs was incredible. The pressure, nerves, and excitement of being on that stage were unmatched, but at the same time, the entire process was highly valuable for our growth.
Which Shark was the hardest to convince?
I believe the toughest Shark to convince was Mauricio. For an entrepreneur with such extensive experience, it’s natural to want to see a solid plan and a clear path to success. His pragmatic approach made me think even more about the details and the potential areas of improvement for my business.
However, he was also the most challenging and stimulating because he pushed me to be more precise and detailed in my responses, which helped me improve significantly.
Which Shark or investor were you hoping to partner with before going on the show?
Before going on the show, I had Mauricio Hoyos in mind in particular because I felt we could have a strong connection, given his experience in the industry and his focus on innovation.
However, after the experience, I realized that the decision wasn’t just about a personal connection, but also about how each shark envisioned the future of the business and the value they could bring.
I was open to all possibilities, but always hopeful to find a partner aligned with Coffee Kreis’s long-term vision.
How did you prepare for your pitch?
The preparation was intense and demanding.
I started with in-depth research on each Shark, understanding their profiles and areas of interest. Then, I worked on refining the pitch to make it clear, concise, and engaging. I practiced repeatedly, both alone and with our team, to anticipate tough questions and respond effectively.
I also dedicated time to perfecting the financial model and growth projections, knowing they would be a key part of the Sharks' evaluation.
Additionally, it was crucial to work on my stage presence and staying calm under pressure—something even more important when standing before such influential people.
What recommendations did you take away from Shark Tank Colombia?
The recommendations I received were valuable and insightful.
One of the most important ones was the need to continue improving the scalability of our business model, not just nationally, but also internationally.
I was also advised to focus on refining the key metrics that demonstrate the real impact of our product and how we are positioning it in the market.
A fundamental piece of advice was to not let initial challenges and obstacles steer us away from our long-term vision. The entrepreneurial journey is full of ups and downs, but perseverance is key.
How do you think appearing on Shark Tank Colombia will impact Coffee Kreis?
Appearing on Shark Tank Colombia has the potential to be a game-changer for Coffee Kreis—not only in terms of investment but also in visibility.
The show has a massive audience that could be interested in our products and what we stand for as a brand. Exposure to a community of entrepreneurs, potential customers, and other key players in the business ecosystem opens doors to new growth opportunities.
Moreover, receiving direct feedback from the Sharks and industry experts allows us to improve and optimize many areas of the business. By partnering with Mauricio, we could also gain access to a network of contacts and resources that would accelerate our expansion process.
If you could change one thing about Shark Tank Colombia, what would it be?
The experience was incredible; however, one thing that would be great for entrepreneurs is if, at the end of the season, the Sharks selected one to three companies as the most innovative and highlighted the best pitches. This could help give them greater visibility through special awards.
I believe this would have a significant impact on both the show and the participating businesses.
